It was a process to get done with the wording - and after looking online for samples and even creating the one mentioned in the previous post - we didn't have it done. Then yesterday knowing that the printing co. was waiting for this - I got inspired...and here it is:
"El amor todo lo sufre, todo lo cree, todo lo espera, todo lo soporta. El amor nunca deja de ser..."
En este día me caso con el que ama mi alma, mi regalo de parte de Dios, mi promesa esperada y sueño echo realidad. Junto con nuestros padres, queremos invitarlo a que sea testigo de esta unión.
in English - especially for those english-speaking only! (sorry)
"Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
On this day I marry the one who loves my soul, my gift from God, my awaited promise and dream come true. Together with our parents, we want to invite you to be witness of this union.
---
I called mik right away and emailed it to him for his 'review and input' - he said it was perfect. :) I read a verse in Songs of Solomon that said 'found the one that loves my soul' and that's what triggered it. For mik and I, we are a gift from God to each other, he seriously is that promise I had but was waiting for, and he completely is a dream come true. I love him. I love you.
And the verse, well we've all read that verse in 1 Corinthians 13:7-8 or heard it used for several things. I didn't think that would be the verse until I read it again when we were searching for 'the' verse for our invitations. And this has been our relationship from day 1. We knew who we wanted to bear all things things, come what may. We were believing God that He would provide, He would open doors, He would lead our path, and in that we had Hope, hope that God was going to take care of us - and even though there have been rough paths along the way, we've endured and that is our promise to one another -to endure it together, always.
So there you have it - our invitation wording and how it came about. :)
